GREENLAND, OX. From July 3 to 14, Emil is operating as OX/DL8JJ. He is a tour and mountain guide working from a base camp on Tasiilaq Island (part of Greenland’s Southeast Coastal Islands group, IOTA NA-151) as well as from other sites on the main island (IOTA NA-018)—locations roughly six hours away from the nearest villages at the northern end of the east coast. He will be active at night during group breaks, operating CW on the 20m through 10m bands using 10 watts (QRP). QSL via LZ1JZ.
KYRGYZSTAN, EX. Until July 4, Mike UN8G is operating as EX/KZ1R from the QTH of Sergey EX8MLE (also known as EX9QT) in Tamga. He will return in August (dates yet to be confirmed).

USA, K. On July 4 (Independence Day), the NI6BB radio club will transmit from
the battleship *Iowa* in San Pedro, California.
EUROPEAN RUSSIA, UA. From July 4 to 9, R3GM, RA1QY, RG5G, and RZ3EC of the Russian
Robinson Club will operate as RI1ZR from several islands—Vorya, Korelenskaya Bay,
Ura Bay, Zapadnaya Litsa Bay, and Ara Bay (all IOTA EU-082 group references)

LUXEMBOURG, LX. From July 4 to 17, Eddy will operate as LX/PA1SND on the 40m band.
FRANCE, TM. From July 4 to 18, Serge F5SN, Laurent F8FSC, Daniel F8GAF, and Michel
F8GGZ will operate as TM113TDF (for the 113th edition of the men's Tour de France);
then, from July 19 to 26, for the end of the Tour, they will use the new callsign TM113TDFH.
CRETE, SV9. From July 4 to 23, Mischa will operate as SV9/HB9EMP.
REF "Tour de France" Amateur Radio Challenge. From July 4 to August 9, this
challenge—organized by the REF in partnership with local associations and radio clubs—
will take place during the men's (July 4–26) and women's (August 1–9) Tour de France races.
Special callsigns TMxxTFR (where "xx" is the department number) will be active
for one week from departments hosting a stage start or finish, or located
along the race route. For example, from July 4 to 10, the Perpignan radio club will be active as TM66TFR. Additionally, the call sign TM00TFR will be activated by operators from the departments hosting the stages.

DQ40CNP to mark the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster (April 26, 1986). During
that crisis, radio amateurs from the GDR (former East Germany) used their stations to

CHINA, BY. On July 11–12, during the IARU HF World Championship (CW/SSB),
national team members will operate as B8HQ and B9HQ from ITU Zone 43.
