How to use the WEB SDR in Twente Netherlands to listen 100 kHz to 29 MHz AM FM SSB
http://websdr.ewi.utwente.nl:8901/
The system is currently composed of a "Mini-Whip" antenna, a homebuilt SDR board (as pictured; see here for background) which samples the entire shortwave spectrum and sends all of this via a gigabit ethernet link to a PC, where a special version of the WebSDR server software processes it. The Mini-Whip is based on a design from PA0RDT (google finds it); see here and some older pictures here. The active receiving element is about 5 by 10 cm large. Such an antenna only works well with a good grounding; ours is on top of a 20m high building, the upper part of which is all metal.

Predictions of propagation for shortwave but the best was in 2024
https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/products/solar-cycle-progression
Solar cycle 25 is the current solar cycle, the 25th since 1755, when extensive recording of solar sunspot activity began. It began in December 2019 with a minimum smoothed sunspot number of 1.8.[3] It is expected to continue until about 2030.[4][5] While it was initially predicted by most scientists that cycle 25 would be relatively weak, solar activity has been much stronger than the predictions.

length 14 metersUNI-BC Wideband Listening Antenna
The UNI-BC antenna has a constant impedance match of approximately 50 ohms across the entire shortwave range from 3 to 30 MHz. This aperiodic dipole therefore operates with the same impedance on all amateur radio and AM broadcast bands without the need for a matching network when changing bands. It features an integrated balun with a 50-ohm matching element and a dipole length of 14 m. The antenna comes fully assembled with an SO239 connector for 50-ohm coaxial cable, such as RG58 or RG213. It is constructed of high-tensile steel wire with a plastic sheath and is weather-resistant.

With 58 years of experience in the field of worldwide radiocommunication via HF, we predicted already in 2000 that HF e-mail will continue to spread rapidly and will soon develop into the major application of modern digital HF techniques that we have marketed - and used! - for years. Interestingly enough, the immense potential of HF e-mail has not been monitored - let alone realized! - by any other author and publisher so far. Only the new Klingenfuss products for 2025 take this fascinating new trend into full consideration - now! We - who else? - provide hundreds of brandnew HF e-mail frequencies and screenshots. Among our customers are dozens of intelligence, radio monitoring and secret services worldwide: see our never-ending list of references and professional customers!
